LEARNING SUPPORT

At HOPE Academy, we understand that every child is unique. We celebrate the God-given gifts of each student while also recognizing that some may need extra support to thrive academically. Our goal is to partner with families to ensure that students receive the encouragement, structure, and resources they need for growth intellectually, socially, and spiritually.

Supporting Every Learner

Teachers differentiate instruction in the classroom and make every effort to meet students at their individual level. Students are regularly assessed through both classroom and standardized assessments, and families are updated on progress throughout the school year. When learning challenges are identified, our Learning Support Team partners with parents and teachers to create a plan that helps each child succeed.

The Learning Support Program

Our Learning Support Program provides tiered levels of assistance depending on a student’s needs. Some students require only minimal adjustments, while others benefit from more structured modifications or support plans. In every case, families, teachers, and our Learning Support Team work together to determine the right level of care.

  • Tier I: Light support and minimal academic modifications, with ongoing check-ins

  • Tier II: Moderate support with more frequent oversight and communication between home and school

  • Additional Services: In some cases, students may require tutoring, outside services, or classroom supports beyond what HOPE can provide. When this happens, we walk alongside families in identifying next steps and resources.

Identifying Needs

Some learning needs are known before a child enrolls, and families submit documentation during the admissions process. Other times, challenges become clearer once a student is in the classroom. In either case, HOPE partners closely with parents to provide guidance, clear expectations, and appropriate support.

Best Interest of Every Student

HOPE Academy does our very best to accommodate a variety of learning needs, always acting with the best interest of each student in mind. However, we recognize that we are not able to serve every need due to various factors, such as class size, available resources, and the overall balance of our classrooms. When a child’s needs exceed what we can provide, we will be honest with families and help explore additional options that support the student’s long-term success.

Availability of Learning Support

Because of the personalized nature of our program, space in Learning Support is limited and often in high demand. At this time, HOPE Academy maintains a wait pool for students needing these services. Families who anticipate their child may benefit from Learning Support are encouraged to share documentation during the admissions process so that we can determine placement as space becomes available.
